Description |
Since 2008, Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA) has organized the annual event that has brought together the policy makers, prominent business leaders, banking and microfinance leaders, and key stakeholders’ representatives to discuss trends and key issues related to microfinance development and growth in Cambodia. Since then, the annual conference officially named annual microfinance conference (AMC) has been recognized as an important event and platform that microfinance and banking leaders come to meet, discuss, exchange success and gap of the sector, and learning and follow up opportunity about the emerging development trending as well as updated changing regulations. Likewise, this year 2023, the conference will feature the key presentations and discussions from key industry leaders and recognized industry experts on the current and future patterns of the economic recovery in Cambodia. The main topics will include reflecting on financial sector stability and resilience economy, challenges, and opportunities, reviewing and strengthening risk sharing mechanism, sectors initiatives on responsible inclusive finance. More interestingly, the prominent speakers from the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), international partner experts, local executive experts, and key stakeholders will deliver the presentation and join group discussion that will bring out lots of key take-away of strategies, future trends, regulation, and practical experience and action for financial practitioners and leaders. Around 400 participants, primarily the senior executives of member microfinance institutions, development partners, and international experts, will attend this exciting one-day conference. The conference will offer a platform to connect, engage, exchange, and learn about the challenges and opportunities to implement inclusive finance, key best practices of the green finance, WASH production development, maintain responsible and sustainable growth and seize new opportunities to adopt and adapt innovative technologies in alignment with the moving regulations. Also, it presents an exceptional opportunity for microfinance stakeholders to raise their profile in Cambodia and there are a range of sponsorship opportunities for interested parties. The theme for 2023 is “Responsible Inclusive Finance, Togethers to the Resilience and Sustainable Microfinance Sector” which will explore how microfinance institutions can continue to foster inclusive and responsible practices of microfinance in building sustainable sector and contributing to the resilience economy. |
