Regional Workshop for Branch Managers focused on “𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀' 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀”


The Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA) and The Association of Banks in Cambodia, with the support of the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), held a Regional Workshop for Branch Managers focused on “𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀' 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀” on 12th September 2024.

The workshop aimed to:

1️⃣ Update participants on recent regulations and guidelines related to good governance, risk management, and branch management efficiency.

2️⃣ Identify opportunities and challenges for enhancing sustainable financial services, accountability, and inclusivity.

3️⃣ Share the associations' initiatives to strengthen governance, efficiency, and client protection.

4️⃣ Enhance branch management efficiency through capacity building and best practices.

5️⃣ Strengthen relationships between financial institutions, local authorities, and relevant officials.

🔹 💬 H.E DITH Nita, CMA Chairwoman, addressed 218 branch managers, emphasizing their vital role in leading successful and sustainable financial operations. She highlighted that branch managers are key to operational efficiency and a positive institutional reputation through effective leadership, ethical practices, and excellent customer service. 

🔹 This workshop was the third in four regional workshops organized by the CMA and ABC in Siem Reap, Battambang, Phnom Penh, and Ratanakkiri.
