Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA) Hosts Webinar on Ethical Collection Practices


The Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA), in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), host a significant webinar on "Good Collection Practices in Micro and Retail Lending: Balancing Business Goals with Integrity" on 23rd December 2024. The webinar emphasized the importance of viewing borrowers as partners, fostering trust, and prioritizing ethical collection methods that support their economic growth.

This webinar sought to:

  • Enhance understanding: Deepen knowledge of ethical and effective collection practices within the Cambodian microfinance and retail lending sectors.
  • Improve implementation: Guide institutions in implementing collection practices that balance business needs with consumer protection.
  • Foster a sustainable environment: Promote a more responsible and sustainable lending environment.

The participation demonstrates a strong commitment of the microfinance sector to fostering a robust and ethical financial ecosystem in Cambodia.
