Impact of Microfinance Services in Cambodia

The Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA), with 50% funding from CMA Members and 50% from FMO, commissioned the Cambodia Institute of Development Study (CIDS) to conduct an assessment on the impact of microfinance services in Cambodia. The purpose of the study is to understand if microfinance has positively contributed to the socioeconomic improvement of borrowers.

Cambodia's Microfinance Amid Global Financial Crisis 2009

On August 19-20, 2009 at Phnom Penh Hotel, under the co-organized by the National Bank of Cambodia (NBC), International Finance Corporation (IFC), the European Union (EU), and the Cambodia Microfinance Association (CMA), hosted the seminar on Cambodia's Microfinance Amid Global Financial Crisis, with more than 500 participants included senior microfinanciers, bankers, regulators, and local authorities began discussions on how microfinance institutions could boost the country’s economy, promote financial inclusion, and enhance customer protection.

2011 SPTF Annual Meeting

The 2011 SPTF Annual Meeting was conducted in Den Bosch, Netherlands from 18th June to 23rd June 2011; there were more than two hundred participants who from donors, investors/lenders, rating agencies and microfinance network in the world and attendance by Her Royal Highness Princess Maxima of the Theater Netherlands.
